Britain’s Luol Deng has retired from basketball after registering up a one-day contract with Chicago Bulls, meaning he finishes his acting career with the NBA franchise at.
Deng spent 10 years in Chicago before spells at Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.
He played at the 2012 Olympics and won 43 caps.
“We’re very lucky and humbled that Luol has chose to retire as a Chicago Bull,” said owner Michael Reinsdorf.
The 34-year-old created 902 appearances and has been a yearlong NBA All-Star at 2013 and 2012.
The Bulls say that they plan to honour Deng at a match to be decided later this season.
Deng was born in South Sudan, before and London as a refugee, raised in Egypt going to the United States.
He obtained citizenship the following year, which makes his Great Britain debut and also played for England.
He went on to score 838 points into his 43 appearances, playing two finals in addition to London 2012.
