Aaron Rodgers will leave a legacy despite only playing two years in the University of California, Berkeley.
Rodgers made a donation to the Cal football program which will be used to renovate the locker area and make the Aaron Rodgers Football Scholarship, the school announced Tuesday.

“I’m happy and proud to make this gift to support Cal soccer,” Rodgers said. “My years at Cal were among the very best years of my life. My time in Berkeley created memories. When I was a Bear coach Wilcox was on the coaching staff, with Justin pointing the way and I am excited about the leadership of the team. He is a football coach and an even better role model for his players. I hope that my contribution could help him move forward.”
So it’s prepared for your 2019 season, the locker room — renamed the Aaron Rodgers Team Locker Room — will soon be renovated. The pupil will be reserved for junior college transfers moving to Division I, when he moved to Cal in Butte College as Rodgers did.
“Aaron Rodgers is one of the most outstanding players at the history of the football program and among the most recognizable names in the world,” Cal Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton stated. “We’re tremendously proud of Aaron and grateful that he’s providing this level of support to our football program, and we believe it will inspire others, too. His generosity allows us to greatly boost our student-athlete expertise and provide a scholarship to a deserving junior college transfer.”
Rodgers positions in program history in career passing yards, passing touchdowns and touchdowns in the top 10. In addition, he directed the Golden Bears into a No. 9 national ranking at the conclusion of his final season (2004).
Rodgers will be remembered just as much off the field in Berkeley as he is on it.
